Founding Pastor: May, 2007 – November, 2015

Dave Holmlund came to New Hampshire in May of 2007 to serve as the organizing pastor of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church. Prior to this call to New Hampshire, he had lived in a number of places ranging from Southern California to Colorado to Missouri to Michigan to Germany. Though he grew up as the son of a pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church, he has been active in various Orthodox Presbyterian churches since shortly after discovering Reformed theology and Presbyterianism during college. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California (B.A.) and Westminster Seminary California (M. Div.). He is currently completing his doctoral work in Historical Theology through Calvin Theological Seminary.
Dave’s wife, Elizabeth, also had a long and circuitous journey before the arrival in New Hampshire. Elizabeth was born and raised in Maryland, and she is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, Columbia International University (diploma, Bible), Duke University (B.A.), Westminster Seminary California (M.A.) and Calvin Theological Seminary (Th.M., Old Testament). In addition to the time spent on the east coast, on the west coast, and in Michigan, she has lived for extended periods of time in China, India and Germany. These days Elizabeth remains very busy as a stay at home mom.
Dave and Elizabeth met in San Diego in seminary and have now been married for thirteen years. They live in Lee with their four active children–Zach, Ezra, Evie and Ben. In their leisure time, the Holmlund family enjoys venturing to new places, learning new things, hanging out with friends, and following intercollegiate athletics.
